About Great Milton After School Club

Great Milton After School Club provides a fun, safe and well supervised environment where children are cared for after school.  It runs every day during term time from 3.30– 6.00pm. The Club is OFSTED registered and is registered with the local early years and childcare partnership.

Activities

There are a range of activities from which the children can choose including

art & craft, creative play, cooking, games and sport using equipment that is safe and appropriate.  Weather permitting we spend some of the afternoon outside in the school grounds or in the recreation area.  Children are able to choose whether or not to participate in organised activities or to initiate their own games.  A quiet area is also available.

Snacks

Children are provided with a healthy snack which they eat together and good hygiene and table manners are encouraged.  We operate a nut-free policy, however please contact the Play Leader with any other dietary requirements.

Numbers

The club is registered to take up to 24 children from 3-11 years old.  The club works on a ratio of one adult to eight children.  Where the demand for places exceeds those available, fixed term bookings will be given priority, and further allocation will be made on a first come first served basis.

Management & Administration

The After School Club is run by the Play Leader with the support of a steering committee, comprising of the Head Teacher, school staff and two governors.  The team meet regularly and welcome input from parents and staff.  Please contact the Play Leader in the first instance should you have any suggestions or concerns.

Registration

We ask that all parents/carers complete an application form before a child can attend the club.  This provides us with basic information such as children's allergies/medical conditions that we need to be aware of, and an emergency contact number of the parent/carer.  In the event of an accident, every effort will be made to contact parents/carers and all accidents will be noted in the accident book.  Any information concerning your child will be treated confidentially, and records kept are only accessible to After School Club staff.

Collection

It is the policy of the After School Club not to allow children to leave with an adult other than those known as parents/carers unless the Play Leader has been notified in advance.

For a registration form and full terms & conditions please contact the

Play Leader, Candice Brant on 07757 224503.
